Harju I – Ülemiste-Soodevahe (TREV-2 Group)

Road condition: satisfactory.

The roads are wet with salt, and in places they are already dry.
On Suur-Sõjamäe Crossroads, Nuia Street and Visase Street, road surfaces and traffic control devices (signs) are cleaned as needed.

At the intersection of Tallinna-Lagedi Road (road no. 11290) and Lennuradari Road, the exit is dirty due to trucks leaving the site, and more intensive cleaning is being carried out in this area.

The following quarries are used for the supply and disposal of materials: Huntaugu I sand quarry, Väo quarry and Väo VIII limestone quarry.

The following route is mainly used for transport: Kiiu-Soodla road (road no. 11105) – Tallinn–Narva highway (road no. 1) – Tallinn ring road (road no. 11) – Juhan Smuuli road (road no. 7841171) – Tallinn–Lagedi road (road no. 11290) – Suur-Sõjamäe bypass (road no. 7841235) – Nuia street (road no. 7841723) – Visase street (road no. 7841650) – Betooni street (road no. 7841162) – Paneeli street (road no. 7841160).

The daily number of tipper semi-trailers serving the facility is approximately 10, with a total daily tonnage of 2000 - 2500 tons.

Harju II – Soodevahe–Kangru (Verston)

Road condition: satisfactory. From 9.03, the use of a tire washer and vacuum cleaner will begin.

Transport takes place on the following road sections with approximately 5 semi-trailers:

  • Tallinn Ring Road (Road No. 11, km 0–10,5) – Tallinn–Tartu Highway (Road No. 1, km 6–37); Kiiu-Soodla Road (Road No. 11105, km 1–4); Tallinn-Tartu Highway (Road No. 2; km 11,5–26); Jõelähtme-Kemba Highway (Road No. 11202; km 5,2–7)
  • About 25 trailers are moving on the Tallinn-Tartu highway at kilometers 11,5–15 and on the Tuhala-Nabala road (11330), at kilometers 5,6–9,6.


Harju III – Kangru–Saku (INF Infra)

Road condition: good. The protective embankment will be transported directly from the quarry to the site via internal roads and public roads will not be used.

Harju IV – Saku–Harju County/Raplamaa border (Merko & GRK)

Road condition: good. Road maintenance is carried out every working day with plows and graders, both on the highways and on the section of road leading to the Männiku quarry. Signs are washed. 

From 9.03 to 13.03, 1 semi-trailer will travel on weekdays on the route Sutlema – Tõdva – Hageri – road no. 15 (Tallinn-Rapla-Türi road) – Hao road – Soo road.

Harju V (TREF Nord)

Road condition: good. Road cleaning is carried out with a brush as needed. The roads are dry, some cracks have been identified. 

Transportation takes place within the site and from the Männiku sand quarry with approximately 10 cars per day. 

Rapla I – Harju County/Rapla County border – West (Verston)

Road condition: satisfactory. No mass transport.

From 2.03, the brush machine will be constantly on site and an additional vacuum cleaner will be ordered if necessary. From 9.03-13.03, eight trucks will move from the Männiku quarry to the Harakapesa area.

Transportation takes place along road no. 15 (Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road).

Rapla II – Loone–Hagudi (Verston)

Road condition: good. The brush machine is out daily.

From 9:03 to 13:03, material transport will take place with six cars and one tractor across road no. 15 (Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road) at the Kärneri bus stop.

Rapla III – Hagudi–Alu (Tariston)

Road condition: good. There are some cracks and defects in the road surface.

There will be no transportation from 9.03 to 13.03.

Rapla IV – Alu–Kärpla (Verston)

Road condition: satisfactory. Major problems have arisen with the deterioration of road 20113 (Reinu quarry road), the Transport Board is planning to implement a load limit.
Cleaning machines are working on the road to the Orava, Reinu and Raja quarries, and a brush tractor is working in the Juula and Põlma zones.

Transportation takes place:

  • From the Reinu quarry, first moving along the Reinu quarry access road (road 20113), then onto road no. 15 (Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road), along local connecting roads (20141 and 20125) and finally reaching road 27 (Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road).
  • From the Orava quarry, take the Tallinn-Pärnu highway, then the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu highway (road no. 27) and then the road number 20149, which leads to the site.
  • Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu (road no. 27) past the Rüütja quarry 

Rapla V – Kärpla–Selja (TREV-2 Group)

Road condition: satisfactory. One brush machine is operating at the Kobra quarry exit and the site exits.

Transportation will take place from 11.03-13.03 from the Kobra quarry with approximately 9 trucks per day.

Pärnu I – Selja–Tootsi (Tariston)

Road condition: satisfactory. There is 1 brush truck for cleaning the Aherkõnnu road. Cleaning equipment will be added if necessary. 

Last week, there was a pause in transportation to allow the Ahekõnnu road to thaw. Transportation takes place from the Ahekõnnu quarry with about 10 semi-trailers per day. 

The transport route runs from Ahekõnnu road (road no. 20254) to the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27).

The return journey to the quarry is made with an empty car, using the Järvakandi-Lokuta road (20164) and the Aherkõnnu road (20254).

We also cooperate with local governments and the Estonian Transport Board in providing operational information.

What we have done and what we can still do:

  • more frequent cleaning of roads;
  • stricter wheel washing and cleaning procedures during field trips to sites and mines;
  • separate response teams in more problematic locations;
  • adjusting transport arrangements during sensitive times
