Harju I – Ülemiste-Soodevahe (TREV-2 Group)
Road condition: good
Due to the cold weather, road surfaces and traffic control devices (signs) will be cleaned as needed on Tallinn–Lagedi Road, Suur-Sõjamäe Crossroads, Nuia Street, and Visase Street.
The following quarries are used for the supply and disposal of materials: Huntaugu I sand quarry, Väo quarry and Väo VIII limestone quarry.
The following route is mainly used for transport: Kiiu-Soodla road (road no. 11105) – Tallinn–Narva road (road no. 1) – Tallinn Ring Road (road no. 11) – Juhan Smuuli road (road no. 7841171) – Tallinn–Lagedi road (road no. 11290) – Suur-Sõjamäe bypass (road no. 7841235) – Nuia street (road no. 7841723) – Visase street (road no. 7841650) – Betooni street (road no. 7841162) – Paneeli street (road no. 7841160).
The daily number of tipper semi-trailers serving the facility is approximately 12, with a total daily tonnage of 3400 - 3800 tons.
Harju II – Soodevahe–Kangru (Verston)
Road condition: good
Winter road maintenance is carried out as needed, and there is a brush machine on site.
Transport takes place on the following road sections with approximately 20 semi-trailers:
- Tallinn Ring Road (T11, km 0–10,5) – Tallinn–Tartu Highway (Jüri and Assaku area)
- Assaku–Jüri side roads and connections (T11105 km 1–4; T1136 km 0–0,8)
- Kose–Ardu area local road (T11202 km 5,2–7)
- About 35 trailers are moving on kilometers 11,5–15 of the Tallinn–Tartu highway and on the local road between Kose–Krei–Habaja.
Harju III – Kangru–Saku (INF Infra)
Road condition: good
The protective embankment will be transported directly from the quarry to the site along internal roads and public roads will not be used.
Harju IV – Saku–Harju County/Raplamaa border (Merko & GRK)
Road condition: good
Road maintenance is carried out every working day with plows and graders, removing ice on both the highways and the section of road leading to the Männiku quarry.
Every working day, 10 semi-trailers travel on the route Sutlema – Tõdva – Hageri (T15) – Hao road – Soo road.
From the Männiku quarry, 8 semi-trailers are transported on the route Soo road – Hao road – Tallinn–Rapla–Türi–Viljandi road – Tallinn ring road – Männiku quarry. In addition, 7 additional semi-trailers leave the Männiku quarry every day, moving to the Tallinn ring road and from there to the Kirdalu–Kiisa road and via the viaduct to the site.
Harju V (TREF Nord)
Road condition: good. Snow removal, anti-slip measures, and road sweeping are carried out as needed.
Transportation takes place within the site and from the Soodla II sand quarry with approximately 10 cars per day.
Rapla I – Harju County/Rapla County border – West (Verston)
Road condition: good. No cleaning has been necessary.
There are no bulk shipments, only a few individual loads of crushed stone from the Reinu and Männik quarries are transported to the site.
Rapla II – Loone–Hagudi (Verston)
Road condition: good. No traffic.
Rapla III – Hagudi–Alu (Tariston)
Road condition: satisfactory. Roads are dry and additional maintenance will be ordered if necessary.
Materials are transported from the following quarries:
- From the Raja-Suurküla quarry – 7 semi-trailers are used.
- Transportation takes place along local road no. 20141, which is the connecting road between the Raja and Suurküla regions in Rapla County, leading from the quarry to larger roads.
- Transportation takes place along local road no. 20141, which is the connecting road between the Raja and Suurküla regions in Rapla County, leading from the quarry to larger roads.
- From the Hagudi quarry – 5 semi-trailers are used. The transports move along road no. 15 (Kehtna–Käru road) and then local road no. 20141, which connects the Hagudi area to the nearby road network.
- The topsoil is being transported – 6 tractors are used for this. The transport takes place along local road no. 20141.
- Soil transportation to the Pärnu I site – 10 semi-trailers are used. For this, the route from Seli-Koigi-Alu road to Rapla-Varbola road is used, then the trucks move to the Rapla bypass and then continue along the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27), then along the Kootja road (road no. 2920036) to the Reichenau road (road no. 2920039)
Rapla IV – Alu–Kärpla (Verston)
Road condition: good. One cleaning brush is working.
Transportation takes place:
- From the Reinu quarry, first moving along the Reinu quarry access road (local road 20113), from there to the Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri road (T15), then along the local connection roads in the Tõdva–Hageri area (local roads 20141 and 20125) and finally reaching the Rapla–Varbola–Järvakandi road (T27), along which the trucks continue to move.
- From the Orava quarry, take the Tallinn-Pärnu highway, then the Rapla-Järvakandi highway, then the Kehtna-Kärpla highway (road 27) and then turn onto road number 20149, which leads to the site.
- From the quarry, follow the small road no. 20120, from where you turn onto the Kehtna-Käru road and then onto road 20149, which leads to the site.
Rapla V – Kärpla–Selja (TREV-2 Group)
Road condition: good
Transportation takes place from the Akimatsi quarry with approximately 10 trucks per day (2000 – 2500 tons per day).
Pärnu I – Selja–Tootsi (Tariston)
Road condition: good. The overpass at the Kõnnu viaduct is being cleaned.
Transports are carried out from the Ahekõnnu quarry with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day. The transport route runs from Ahekõnnu road (road no. 20254) to the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27), from there along Kootja road (road no. 2920036) to the Reichenau road (road no. 2920039). The return journey to the quarry is made with an empty car, using the Järvakandi-Lokuta road and the Ahekõnnu road.
Transport also takes place from Rapla County to Pärnu County with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day. For this purpose, the route is used from the Seli-Koigi-Alu road to the Rapla-Varbola road, after which the trucks move to the Rapla bypass and further along the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27) and along the Kootja road (road no. 2920036) to the Reichenau road (road no. 2920039).
Construction companies Verston, Infrastructure, INF Infrastructure, TREV-2 Group, Merko & GRK Oy We use a variety of cleaning measures on a daily basis to ensure the cleanest and safest roads possible throughout the work. We also cooperate with local governments and the Estonian Transport Board in providing operational information.
What we have done and what we can still do:
- more frequent cleaning of roads;
- stricter wheel washing and cleaning procedures during field trips to sites and mines;
- separate response teams in more problematic locations;
- adjusting transport arrangements during sensitive times
