Harju I – Ülemiste–Soodevahe (TREV-2 Group)
The condition of the roads is good.
The road surface is cleaned with a brush daily. On Suur-Sõjamäe Bypass, Tallinn–Lagedi Road, Nuia Street and Visase Street, the road surface and traffic control devices (traffic signs) are cleaned as needed. The brush machine operates on site throughout the day.
The volume of transport is minimal. The facility is served by approximately 6 tipper semi-trailers per day, and the daily transport volume is 1800–2200 tons.
The Huntaugu I sand quarry, the Väo quarry, and the Väo VIII limestone quarry are used for the supply and utilization of materials.
The following route is mainly used for transport: Kiiu–Soodla road (road no. 11105) – Tallinn–Narva highway (road no. 1) – Tallinn ring road (road no. 11) – Juhan Smuuli road (road no. 7841171) – Tallinn–Lagedi road (road no. 11290) – Suur-Sõjamäe bypass (road no. 7841235) – Nuia street (road no. 7841723) – Visase street (road no. 7841650) – Betooni street (road no. 7841162) – Paneeli street (road no. 7841160).
Harju II – Soodevahe–Kangru (Verston)
The condition of the roads is good.
A brush tractor, a vacuum truck and a tire washer are used on the Järveküla–Jüri road. A brush tractor and, if necessary, a vacuum truck are used on the Assaku–Jüri road. A brush tractor is used on the Põdra road in case dirt is transferred from the route to the asphalt surface; a vacuum truck is also used if necessary. A brush tractor operates on the Raba road and a vacuum truck is used if necessary.
Karja road is closed until 03.07.2026. A brush tractor and, if necessary, a vacuum truck are used to clean the road. In addition, signposts and traffic signs are washed daily, and fences are also cleaned if necessary.
Transport takes place with approximately 15 semi-trailers on the following road sections:
• Tallinn Ring Road (road no. 11, km 0–10,5) – Tallinn–Tartu Highway (road no. 1, km 6–37)
• Kiiu–Soodla road (road no. 11105, km 1–4)
• Tallinn–Tartu highway (road no. 2, km 11,5–26)
• Jõelähtme–Kemba road (road no. 11202, km 5,2–7)
In addition, approximately 35 semi-trailers travel on the Tallinn–Tartu road (km 11,5–15) and the Järveküla–Jüri road (road no. 11330, km 5,6–9,6).
Harju III – Kangru–Saku (INF Infra)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
The brush machine operates on Kivi road (road no. 11159), road no. 11509 and at the Kangru traffic junction.
• Material is transported from the Sutlema quarry to the Harju III Kangru site by approximately 6 semi-trailers on Mondays and Tuesdays.
• Material from the Reinu limestone quarry is transported to the same site by approximately 5 semi-trailers on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Peat is transported between the Harju III (Kangru) site and the Väo and Harku quarries by approximately 10 vehicles per day.
Harju IV – Saku–Harju County/Raplamaa border (Merko & GRK)
The condition of the roads is good.
Road maintenance is carried out every working day with a brush machine.
A brush machine and a grader are working on the Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri road. A brush machine is working on the Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri–Kirdalu–Kiisa road and a water tanker is also being used. Brush machines and water tankers are being used on the roads leading to the Männiku quarry and the roads to the emergency substation.
Daily transports:
• 5 semi-trailers on the route Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri–Kirdalu–Kiisa road (from the viaduct to the site)
• 9 semi-trailers on the route Männiku quarry – road no. 11 – Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road (road no. 15) – Hao road – Soo road
• 7 semi-trailers on the route Männiku quarry – road no. 11 – Tallinn–Rapla–Türi highway (road no. 15) – Tõdva–Hageri–Kiisa emergency station road
Harju V – Soodevahe traffic interchange (TREF Nord)
The condition of the roads is good.
As needed, roads are cleaned with a brush and traffic signs and signposts are washed.
Transportation takes place within the site. Material is transported from the quarry by approximately 3 trucks per day, and fill soil is also transported by approximately 8 trucks per day.
Rapla I – Harju County/Rapla County border – West (Verston)
The condition of the roads is good.
The brush machine is constantly working on the site and a vacuum truck is used if necessary.
Transportation takes place every working day as follows:
• From Harju II section 18 with a semi-trailer from the Põrguvälja viaduct area along the Tallinn–Rapla–Türi highway (road no. 15) to the Harakapesa area
• From Männiku quarry with 1 semi-trailer on the same route
Rapla II – Loone–Hagudi (Verston)
The condition of the roads is good.
A brush machine is cleaning the Hagudi–Kodila road.
Transportation will take place within the site and between 27.04 and 08.05, transportation will also take place between the Rapla I and Rapla II sections.
Rapla III – Hagudi–Alu (Tariston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
Transportation takes place:
• From the Männiku silica quarry with 10 semi-trailers along road no. 20141, which heads to the Tallinn–Rapla–Türi highway (road no. 15) in the Uusküla area
• Soil transportation from Rapla III section to the Pärnu County construction section with 10 semi-trailers, using road no. 20141
Rapla IV – Alu–Kärpla (Verston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
A water cleaning machine is operating on road no. 20113 (Reinu quarry road). A water and brush machine is operating on the Orava quarry road, and if necessary, the same equipment will be added to the Rüütja quarry road.
• INF Reinu quarry will be transported in a volume of 10,000 tons (approx. 30 cars) on route 20113 – T15 – 20141 – 20125 – Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27)
• Merko/TREV-2 will be transported from the Orava quarry in a volume of 10,000 tons (approx. 15 cars) on route T4 – T28 – Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27)
• If necessary, transport of up to 300 tons from the Estonian Limestone quarry will be carried out along the Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27).
• From the Verston Rüütja quarry, a transport of 10,000 tons (with 7 cars) will take place on route T27 – 20125 and an additional export of 5000 tons will be carried out along the Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27)
• Additional transport from the Rüütja quarry in the volume of 7000 tons (approx. 12 cars) along the Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27)
Rapla V – Kärpla–Selja (TREV-2 Group)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
A brush truck will be used if necessary. The roads of the Reinu quarry will be cleaned in cooperation with Verston. Repair work on State Road No. 20113 continues.
Transportation takes place:
• Approximately 3 semi-trailers per day from the base quarry
• From Reinu quarry with approximately 14 semi-trailers per day
• Approximately 12 semi-trailers per day from the Akimatsi quarry
• From the Risu quarry with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day
Pärnu I – Selja–Tootsi (Tariston)
The condition of the roads is good.
You will be cleaned with a brush machine.
Transportation takes place:
• From Ahekõnnu quarry to Kõnnu viaduct, approximately 5–10 semi-trailers per day on the route Ahekõnnu road (road no. 20254) – Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27); in addition, the Kootja and Reichenau roads are used. The return journey is empty along the Järvakandi–Lokuta road (road no. 20164) and Ahekõnnu road
• From Rapla III section, approximately 10 semi-trailers per day on the route Seli–Koigi–Alu road (road no. 20131) – Rapla–Varbola road (road no. 20141) – Rapla bypass (road no. 20125) – Rapla–Järvakandi–Kergu road (road no. 27) – Kootja road – Reichenau road
Construction companies TREF Nord, Verston, Infrastructure, INF Infrastructure, TREV-2 Group, Merko & GRK Oy We use a variety of cleaning measures on a daily basis to ensure the cleanest and safest roads possible throughout the work. We also cooperate with local governments and the Estonian Transport Board in providing operational information.
What we have done and what we can still do:
- more frequent cleaning of roads;
- stricter wheel washing and cleaning procedures during field trips to sites and mines;
- separate response teams in more problematic locations;
- adjusting transport arrangements during sensitive times
