Harju I – Ülemiste-Soodevahe (TREV-2 Group)
Road condition: good
Due to the cold weather, road cleaning will be carried out on Tallinn–Lagedi Road, Suur-Sõjamäe Bypass, Nuia Street and Visase Street as needed. Traffic control devices (signs) will be cleaned.
The following quarries are used for the supply and disposal of materials: Huntaugu I sand quarry, Väo quarry and Väo VIII limestone quarry.
The following routes are mainly used for transport: Kiiu-Soodla road (road no. 11105) Tallinn–Narva road (road no. 1) – Tallinn ring road (road no. 11) – Juhan Smuuli road (road no. 7841171) – Tallinn–Lagedi road (road no. 11290) – Suur-Sõjamäe bypass (road no. 7841235) – Nuia street (road no. 7841723) – Visase street (road no. 7841650) – Betooni street (road no. 7841162) – Paneeli street (road no. 7841160).
The daily number of tipper semi-trailers serving the facility is approximately 12, with a total daily tonnage of 2800 - 3200 tons.
Harju II – Soodevahe–Kangru (Verston)
Road condition: good
Winter road maintenance is carried out as needed, and a brush cleaning machine is available on site and can be used quickly.
Transport takes place on the following road sections with approximately 35 semi-trailers:
- Tallinn Ring Road (T11, km 0–10,5) – Tallinn–Tartu Highway (Jüri and Assaku area)
- Assaku–Jüri side roads and connections (T11105 km 1–4; T1136 km 0–0,8)
- Kose–Ardu area local road (T11202 km 5,2–7)
- About 35 trailers are moving on kilometers 11,5–15 of the Tallinn–Tartu highway and on the local road between Kose–Krei–Habaja.
Harju III – Kangru–Saku (INF Infra)
Road condition: good
No cleaning will be carried out, as transportation will take place directly from the quarry to the site along internal roads and public roads will not be used.
Harju IV – Saku–Harju County/Raplamaa border (Merko & GRK)
Road condition: good
Starting January 26.01, road maintenance will be carried out every working day with plows and graders, removing ice on both the highways and the section of road leading to the Männiku quarry.
Every working day, two semi-trailers travel on the route Sutlema – Tõdva – Hageri (T15) – Hao road – Soo road..
In addition, 8 semi-trailers will be transported from the Männiku quarry on the route Soo road – Hao road – Tallinn–Rapla–Türi–Viljandi road – Tallinn ring road – Männiku quarry.
Every day, an additional 10 semi-trailers leave the Männiku quarry and travel to the Tallinn Ring Road and from there to the Kirdalu–Kiisa road and via the viaduct to the site.
Harju V (TREF Nord)
Road condition: good
Snow removal, anti-slip measures, and road cleaning with a brush are carried out as needed.
Transportation takes place within the site and from the Männiku sand quarry with 4-5 cars per day.
Rapla I – Harju County/Rapla County border – West (Verston)
Road condition: good
Transports take place on weekdays from Reinu (2 trucks) and Urge quarries (6 trucks). In addition, 20 trucks travel between Harju II section (Soodevahe–Kangru).
Rapla II – Loone–Hagudi (Verston)
Road condition: good
There are no shipments.
Rapla III – Hagudi–Alu (Tariston)
Road condition: good. Roads are salt-soaked, additional maintenance will be ordered if necessary.
There are no transports from the quarry. The topsoil is transported to the storage areas with four semi-trailers and six tractors, using local road no. 20131 between Hagudi and Alu.
Rapla IV – Alu–Kärpla (Verston)
Road condition: good. One cleaning brush is working.
The transports take place from the Reinu quarry, first moving along the Reinu quarry access road (local road 20113), from there to the Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri road (T15), then along the local connecting roads in the Tõdva–Hageri area (local roads 20141 and 20125) and finally reaching the Rapla–Varbola–Järvakandi road (T27), along which the trucks continue. There are approximately 20 trucks working.
Rapla V – Kärpla–Selja (TREV-2 Group)
Road condition: good
Transports take place from the Reinu quarry in the amount of approximately 2000 tons per day (approximately 13 trucks), from the Lubja or Raikküla quarry in the amount of approximately 2000 tons (approximately 8 trucks), and from Wednesday to Friday from the Akimatsi quarry in the amount of approximately 2000 tons per day (approximately 10 trucks).
Pärnu I – Selja–Tootsi (Tariston)
Road condition: good. Cleaning is carried out as needed.
Transports take place from the Ahekõnnu quarry with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day. The transport route runs from Ahekõnnu road (road no. 20254) to Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27), from there along Kootja road (road no. 2920036) to Reichenau road (road no. 2920039).
Construction companies Verston, Infrastructure, INF Infrastructure, TREV-2 Group, Merko & GRK Oy We use a variety of cleaning measures on a daily basis to ensure the cleanest and safest roads possible throughout the work. We also cooperate with local governments and the Estonian Transport Board in providing operational information.
What we have done and what we can still do:
- more frequent cleaning of roads;
- stricter wheel washing and cleaning procedures during field trips to sites and mines;
- separate response teams in more problematic locations;
- adjusting transport arrangements during sensitive times
