Harju I – Ülemiste-Soodevahe (TREV-2 Group)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
The roads are mostly dry and the road surface is cleaned with a brush daily; on Suur-Sõjamäe side street, Tallinn–Lagedi road, Nuia and Visase streets, the road surface and traffic signs are cleaned as needed.
The materials are delivered and utilized from the Huntaugu I sand quarry, the Väo quarry and the Väo VIII limestone quarry. Transport is mainly carried out on the following routes: Kiiu–Soodla road (11105) – Tallinn–Narva road (1) – Tallinn ring road (11) – Juhan Smuuli road (7841171) – Tallinn–Lagedi road (11290) – Suur-Sõjamäe bypass (7841235) – Nuia street (7841723) – Visase street (7841650) – Betooni street (7841162) – Paneeli street (7841160).
The facility is served by approximately 6 tipper semi-trailers per day, and the total daily transport capacity is approximately 1800–2200 tons.
Harju II – Soodevahe–Kangru (Verston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory. There are three brush machines in operation (two of them with road washing capabilities), one large vacuum cleaner and a tire washer on Põrguvälja road. Signposts and traffic signs are washed daily and fences are also cleaned when necessary.
The transport takes place on the following road sections: Tallinn Ring Road (road no. 11, km 0–10,5), Tallinn–Tartu Road (road no. 1, km 6–37), Kiiu–Soodla Road (road no. 11105, km 1–4), Tallinn–Tartu Road (road no. 2, km 11,5–26) and Jõelähtme–Kemba Road (road no. 11202, km 5,2–7), where approximately 15 semi-trailers operate. In addition, approximately 20 semi-trailers operate on the Tallinn–Tartu Road km 11,5–15 section and on the Järveküla–Jüri Road (road no. 11330, km 5,6–9,6).
The use and cleaning of the transport roads of the Harju II section will take place during the week of 30.03–02.04. On road no. 11330 (Järveküla–Jüri road), a brush tractor, a vacuum truck and a tire washer will be used, and approximately 28 semi-trailers will be moving. On road no. 11113 (Assaku–Jüri road), a brush tractor and, if necessary, a vacuum truck will be used, and the traffic load will be approximately 10 semi-trailers. On the Põdra, Karja and Raba roads, a brush tractor will be used in cases where dirt is transferred from the route to the asphalt surface, and also a vacuum truck if necessary; approximately 6, 8 and 15 semi-trailers will be moving on these roads, respectively.
Harju III – Kangru–Saku (INF Infra)
The condition of the roads is good. The brush machine is working on Kivi Road (road no. 11159) and in the Kangru traffic junction area.
Material is transported from the Sutlema quarry to the Harju III Kangru site by approximately 10 semi-trailers per day, and from the Reinu limestone quarry by approximately 5 semi-trailers per day.
Transport from the concrete master's factory to the Harju III Saunasilla site takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; approximately 3 semi-trailer loads arrive early in the morning on these days.
Harju IV – Saku–Harju County/Raplamaa border (Merko & GRK)
The condition of the roads is good.
Road maintenance is carried out every working day with a brush machine.
There will be no bulk transport; traffic will be limited to approximately 4 semi-trailers on the Sutlema–Tõdva–Hageri–Kirdalu–Kiisa road route (from the viaduct to the site).
Harju V – Soodevahe traffic junction (TREF Nord)
The condition of the roads is good.
As needed, road cleaning is carried out with a brush and transportation takes place within the site.
In addition, material is transported from the AS TREF Nord Tammemäe IV sand quarry in a volume of up to 1500 tons per day, using approximately 10 vehicles.
Rapla I – Harju County/Rapla County border – West (Verston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory. A brush machine is constantly on site and a vacuum cleaner will be ordered if necessary.
Transports are carried out from the Männiku quarry to the Harakapesa area in Kohila by two trucks along road no. 15 (Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road). In addition, transports are made every working day from the Harju II section to the same area by 16 trucks, also using road no. 15.
Rapla II – Loone–Hagudi (Verston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory. Two sweeping machines are out every day, one of them cleaning the Hagudi-Kodila road.
Transports take place with six semi-trailers from the Talteri sand quarry and five from the Purila quarry.
Rapla III – Hagudi–Alu (Tariston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
Transports of silicate from the Männiku quarry are carried out by semi-trailer, using road no. 20141, which brings the quarry to the Uusküla area on the Tallinn-Rapla-Türi highway (road no. 15).
From the Rapla III section to the Pärnu County construction section, soil transport will be carried out with seven semi-trailers, using roads no. 20131 and 20141.
Rapla IV – Alu–Kärpla (Verston)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory.
Two cleaning machines are working on road no. 20113 (Reinu quarry road), one near the Põlma viaduct, one on the Rüütja quarry road, and from April 1, one cleaning machine on the Orava quarry road. There are defects on the surface of state road 20113, and repair work will begin in the coming days.
Transportation takes place as follows:
- INF Reinu quarry transport in a volume of 10,000 tons will take place on route 20113 (Reinu quarry road) – T15 (Tallinn–Rapla–Türi road) – 20141–20125–T27 (Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road).
- Merko/TREV-2 The transport of 10,000 tonnes from the Orava quarry will take place on the route T4 (Tallinn–Pärnu–Ikla) – T28 (Rapla–Märjamaa road) – T27 (Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road).
- The transport of 300 tons of Estonian Crushed Lime from the quarry will take place on the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (T27).
- A transport of 10000 tons from the Verston Rüütja quarry will take place on the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (T27) – 20125.
- The export from the Rüütja quarry will be carried out in a volume of 5000 tons. The transport will move along the Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu highway (T27).
Rapla V – Kärpla–Selja (TREV-2 Group)
The condition of the roads is satisfactory. Roads are cleaned when necessary, and the roads to the Reinu quarry are cleaned in cooperation with Verston.
There are road surface defects on State Road 20113, and repair work will begin in the near future.
Transportation takes place from the Lubja quarry with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day, from the Aluste quarry with approximately 4-7, and from the Reinu quarry with approximately 10 semi-trailers per day.
Pärnu I – Selja–Tootsi (Tariston)
The condition of the roads is good. They are cleaned with a brush machine.
Transportation takes place daily with one semi-trailer from the Lubja quarry (Raikküla) to the Kõnnu ecoduct, on the route Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27) – Kootja road (road no. 2920039) – Reichenau road (road no. 2920039).
There are also approximately ten semi-trailers transporting goods from Rapla III section (Hagudi-Alu) per day, on the route Seli-Koigi-Alu road (road no. 20131) – Rapla-Varbola road (road no. 20141), Rapla bypass (road no. 20125) – Rapla-Järvakandi-Kergu road (road no. 27) – Kootja road (road no. 2920039) – Reichenau road (road no. 2920039).
Construction companies TREF Nord, Verston, Infrastructure, INF Infrastructure, TREV-2 Group, Merko & GRK Oy We use a variety of cleaning measures on a daily basis to ensure the cleanest and safest roads possible throughout the work. We also cooperate with local governments and the Estonian Transport Board in providing operational information.
What we have done and what we can still do:
- more frequent cleaning of roads;
- stricter wheel washing and cleaning procedures during field trips to sites and mines;
- separate response teams in more problematic locations;
- adjusting transport arrangements during sensitive times
