DiscoverEU is an initiative of the Erasmus+ programme that allows 18-year-olds to discover Europe, mainly by train. The biannual competition awards a free travel pass that allows you to travel to as many European countries as you like within 30 days. Participants also receive a European Youth Card, which offers discounts on accommodation, local transport, cultural and sports events and other travel-related costs.

Rail Baltic Estonia has been supporting DiscoverEU participants since 2022. The travel scholarships issued by the company help young people cover, for example, accommodation and food costs and other expenses incurred during the trip.
The aim of the scholarship is to encourage young people to choose environmentally friendly travel and discover the culture, history and lifestyle of different regions of Europe. Additional financial support makes longer trips more affordable and allows you to focus more on experiences and experiences.
DiscoverEU has distributed free rail passes to nearly 165,000 young Europeans since 2018. Through the programme, participants can travel for up to 30 consecutive days, either alone or with friends, and explore Europe's diverse cultural heritage.
"No picture or text can convey the feeling of a morning coffee near the Eiffel Tower in Paris, a bike ride through Vienna, or a train ride across the Alps along one of the world's most beautiful railways. These are experiences that will be remembered for a lifetime," recalls Kristian Pärt, who traveled to Europe in 2022 with the DiscoverEU program and the support of the Rail Baltic Estonia scholarship.
