The planning of RailBaltic has reached the stage where the comparison of different route corridors is starting. There are no preferences for different corridors yet. Currently, the working groups for the strategic environmental impact assessment and feasibility-cost analysis are starting work, comparing the proposed corridor sections according to various criteria.
One of the comparable alternative corridors will remain in the Nõmme region, entering Tallinn from the west, from Männik, roughly following the existing railway route. The RailBaltic team would like to present the current status of the county plan and the alternative corridor through the Nõmme region on November 15th at the Nõmme Cultural Center, starting at 5:00 PM.
