Structure

The beneficiaries of the support within the framework of the Rail Baltica project are the ministries of the three Baltic states: the Estonian Ministry of Climate, the Latvian Ministry of Transport, and the Lithuanian Ministry of Transport and Communications.

In 2014, the ministries established a joint venture, RB Rail AS, which is the main coordinator for the construction of the railway and the development of the Rail Baltic project. The shares of RB Rail AS are divided equally between the Estonian OÜ Rail Baltic Estonia, the Latvian SIA Eiropas Dzelzceļa Līnijas, and the Lithuanian UAB Rail Baltica Statyba.

The national institutions implementing the Rail Baltica project in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are responsible for the implementation of the project in their home countries and are also shareholders of RB Rail AS. In Estonia, such companies are Rail Baltic Estonia OÜ, in Latvia Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas SIA, and in Lithuania Rail Baltica Statyba UAB and Lietuvos Geležinkeliai JSC.
